Nestlé Philippines backs ‘Love Laban 2025’
Published on

Nestlé Philippines, with Nescafé as a key brand partner, demonstrated its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) by actively participating in the “Love Laban Pride March” in Quezon City last 28 June 2025.

The company stressed its belief that an inclusive world begins with purposeful action, sparking a better tomorrow, especially within workplaces.

This participation is part of Nescafé’s “Gisingin ang Mundo” campaign, which encourages Filipinos to unite, embrace diversity and inspire positive actions.

The “Gisingin ang Mundo” campaign reflects Nescafé’s evolution from a brand that inspires Filipinos to bangon during challenging times, to one that empowers consumers to act toward building a more positive world.

By taking part in Pride, Nescafé aims to connect more deeply with its consumers, a generation of coffee drinkers who value advocacy, authenticity and purpose.

“We are proud to offer our Cup of Courage — as support and strength for the community that continues to fight and freely express their true selves,” said Cedric Reyes, head of Digital for Nescafé, expressing support for the LGBTQIA+ community during the march.

As part of these efforts, Nescafé is collaborating with key opinion leaders and changemakers to build and connect with various communities and initiate conversations around significant events throughout the year, especially Pride.

During the march, several key opinion leaders joined more than 100 individuals from Nestlé’s contingent, marching alongside Nescafé’s Pride Float to advocate for diversity in the workplace.

Nestlé Philippines’ involvement in Pride extends its broader DEI commitment, ensuring that all employees, regardless of their diverse backgrounds, can bring their authentic selves to work. The company employs over 5,300 Filipinos; its workforce is 47 percent women, 8 percent identify as LGBTQ+ and 4 percent have declared a disability. Nestlé Philippines has also been certified as a Great Place to Work.

Within the organization, inclusive practices are deeply embedded. Gender balance is a key priority, with 60 percent of leadership roles held by women. The company celebrates LGBTQ+ inclusion by providing safe spaces and recognition across its factories and offices. Initiatives like disability inclusion and youth empowerment programs (such as Nestlé Needs YOUth) aim to ensure that everyone has a place and a future within the organization.
