DTI trade fair returns, highlights Filipino innovation, sustainability
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is set to stage the 2025 DTI-Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair from 23 to 27 July at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, bringing together nearly 300 exhibitors from across the country in a showcase of Filipino creativity, innovation, and sustainability.
The fair, now in its latest edition, highlights a diverse range of locally made products including heirloom crafts, wellness essentials, contemporary fashion, upcycled home décor, and environmentally responsible solutions. All participating enterprises have been carefully selected for their commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainable practices.
More than a commercial event, the National Trade Fair supports DTI’s Tatak Pinoy Strategy, which aims to strengthen the domestic economy by nurturing homegrown brands and expanding their global potential. By highlighting the power of design, innovation, and responsible production, the fair underscores the role of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in driving inclusive growth.
“The National Trade Fair is more than a marketplace—it’s a national platform for promoting Filipino excellence, innovation, and sustainability. This 2025 edition goes even further, introducing new features to spotlight game-changing green technologies,” said DTI Assistant Secretary Nylah Rizza D. Bautista, who heads the Competitiveness and Innovation Group.
She noted the event’s distinction from other DTI-led initiatives, such as the National Food Fair, by offering a broader showcase of creative industries—from fashion and home furnishings to digital innovations and natural wellness products. “This year’s fair continues to promote the use of Philippine natural raw materials and highlights the potential of green technologies in helping MSMEs scale up and compete more effectively,” she added.
A key feature of this year’s fair is the Philippine Sustainability Pavilion, where visitors can explore a curated selection of eco-innovations and green technologies. The pavilion showcases how indigenous and natural materials like bamboo, abaca, and native grasses are transformed into high-value, export-ready products—reflecting the intersection of environmental stewardship and cultural heritage.
The fair also offers business development seminars, live skills demonstrations, and themed exhibit zones designed to help MSMEs expand market access and accelerate growth. It provides a comprehensive learning experience for buyers, entrepreneurs, and supporters of Filipino craftsmanship.
In 2024, the National Trade Fair featured 273 MSMEs and attracted 27,909 visitors. It generated ₱73.2 million in total sales, including ₱62.12 million in cash sales and booked orders. Building on this momentum, the 2025 edition aims to deliver an even greater economic impact.
The DTI-Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair is free and open to the public. It runs for five days from July 23 to 27, 2025, at SM Megamall, offering visitors the opportunity to discover and support proudly Filipino products and enterprises.
