Sleep, personalized: Mooni launches customizable luxury mattresses

Luxury sleep just got personal with the official launch of Mooni, a groundbreaking homegrown mattress brand that lets customers build their own bed based on personal comfort and support preferences — a first in the Philippine market.

Unveiled at a media event at Hooga on 10 July 2025, Mooni offers a modular, eco-friendly mattress design that adapts to the changing needs of users. Each layer in a Mooni mattress is removable and replaceable, allowing customers to upgrade or adjust their bed without replacing the entire unit.

“Creating Mooni from scratch wasn’t easy. We had no blueprint — just an idea and a clear goal to build something different,” said Jam Chan Cua, managing director of Mooni. “From product development to logo design, everything was a trial-and-error process. One of the biggest challenges was defining our identity in such a saturated market. What helped us push through was staying curious, listening to real customer needs, and working closely as a small, passionate team. Little by little, Mooni found its voice — playful, thoughtful, and truly ours.”

Named after the moon and its symbolism of calm and renewal, Mooni aims to redefine how Filipinos experience rest. The brand offers two mattress models: Mooni Classic and Mooni Luxury, both of which use layers of premium materials designed for temperature regulation, spinal support, and pressure relief.

The Mooni Classic features a removable top cover made with OEKO-TEX® certified Belgian fabric, gel-infused memory foam for cooling comfort, and dynamic support layers for a balanced sleep. Meanwhile, the Mooni Luxury mattress comes with higher-density foams, a flippable firm/soft base, and multiple layers designed for ultimate customization.

With over three decades of research behind its design, Mooni guarantees a long-lasting sleep solution through modular engineering. Customers can swap or upgrade individual layers to adjust firmness levels over time — a major shift from traditional, one-size-fits-all mattresses.
