One of the most profound effects of the Iran vs Israel-US war is the myth of Israel’s invincibility.
All of a sudden, all of Israel’s many enemies had this sudden realization. It was profound in the sense that fear has evolved into aggression across the millions of angry Islamic nations. For every day that the Gaza Genocide lingers, the entire Middle East is destined to eventually explode.
The Houthis of Yemen were the first to respond, sending a successful barrage of drones and missiles to Tel Aviv and Haifa. Now, there will be a general mobilization of Arab nations towards buying drones and missiles for use against Israel on a larger scale.
The second myth to be shelved will be the invincibility of the U.S., which evacuated after invading poor countries like Vietnam and Afghanistan in total shame. The U.S. is fast to invade but weak to occupy, as in Iraq and Afghanistan. They ended up inducing power vacuums that triggered civil war and chaos.
The current war has triggered the consolidation and strengthening of the Shia Muslims under Iranian leadership. The war has given the Shia faction spiritual strength against “superior” Israeli and American forces.
A bit of history
The Islamic world is essentially divided into Shia and Sunni factions, whose endless rivalry dates back to the death of the founder of Islam, Mohammed.
They are like oil and water, except for a few rare instances when a temporary alliance was more important. The Shia of today basically are the Iranians, the Houthis, Hezbollah, a mix of Persian and Arab Muslims. The Sunnis are basically affluent, led by Saudi Arabia, which want an “unholy” alliance with Israel to protect their oil empire.

The map reveals the Shia percent of the populations: Iran (90-95 percent), Saudi Arabia (10-15 percent), Syria (15-20 percent), Lebanon (45-55 percent), Turkey (10-15 percent), Yemen (35-40 percent), Kuwait (20-25 percent), Bahrain (65-75 percent), Qatar (10 percent). Iraq is the exception (65-70 percent Shia) but ruled by the minority Sunnis.
Iran and Lebanon have many Shia citizens, Yemen has less than half, and Kuwait a quarter. The Shiites comprise the bulk of those opposing Israel — Iran, the Hezbollah of Lebanon, and the Houthis of Yemen.
Present day
The Sunnis comprise the rich oil nations who see war as a threat to their oil fields. There is thus a conflict of interest between Sunnis protecting their oil and Shiites who have an existential war with Israel. Saudi Arabia tried to establish a precarious alliance with Israel to stop it from launching a war against Iran, which would eventually affect their oil empire. The status of this alliance is not known.
Netanyahu and the Israelis, over-eager due to US support, drew first blood, bombing key nuclear sites. Soon after, the US joined them, using the invisible B2 with bunker busting bombs to hit three nuclear sites. Trump gloated that Iran would surrender anytime soon, after the “successful” bombing. But Khamenei said Iran would never surrender. Russia and China are presently helping Iran strengthen its arsenal.
And so, Iran destroyed the myth of the invincibility of Israel’s three-layer air defense system. Its successful missile-drone blitzkrieg made Tel Aviv and Haifa look like Gaza in the ongoing genocide. For the first time, they got a taste of their own medicine. This strengthened the resolve of Iran to fight back, triggering the spiritual consolidation of Shias in the entire Middle East.
The realization of the power of Iran to resist US-Israeli supremacy was a total shock to the entire world.
Lord, we pray that the peacemakers will prevail over the warlords to avoid WW3 and a nuclear war. We pray for the innocent civilians being massacred on both sides. Amen.
