Before the mom hat, she carried a traveler’s backpack

Em Matias Sulit used to live out of her luggage, always ready, always on the go. For 10 years, she was flying and moving from one place to another, constantly adapting. It was a fast-paced life, with a steady flow and routine that allowed her to supercharge her work and pour most of her time into her career.

But that kind of routine no longer worked when a new chapter in her life opened — motherhood.

When Em gave birth to her daughter, she realized that the expat lifestyle was no longer sustainable — not from a financial perspective, but emotionally, and for the home they were trying to build. So, she began thinking of ways to turn her creativity into income while still being present for her family, especially her children.

And from that idea, Game Changer was born — from a game changer herself.

From boarding passes to boss moves

As a mother, Em is not strict, but she makes sure that the well-being, health, and happiness of her kids are always on track — no more, no less. Just something chill, maintained and in order.

As a boss, she works the same way: work at your own pace, work in your own peace. The only non-negotiables are timeliness and quality of work. Whatever is promised to the clients is exactly what they’ll get.

She is a woman of routine and wellness. She makes sure that whatever is happening at the moment is what’s meant to happen at that time. When it’s work time, it’s work time. When it’s mom time, it’s mom time. When it’s time for herself, it’s self-time.

Respecting time, managing boundaries, working smart and setting clear limits have been a big help for her. The best part? This applies not just to her family, but to her employees as well.

What makes her stand out is how she blends personal and professional life. Her office includes a space for kids to nap, play, or draw, a reflection of her belief that people work better when they’re not worried about their children.

“Everything is built on trust, transparency and respect,” she says. “No drama, no micromanaging.”

She also supports passion projects that meet her family’s evolving needs. Her husband’s jiu-jitsu gym is one such outlet. It serves not only as a business, but also as a parenting partner. “There are layers to parenting I can’t fulfill alone. It takes a village,” she says.

By combining her professional skills with her husband’s passion, they have created a system that supports both their children and their values.

As Game Changer grows, Em remains focused on sustainability, financial, creative and emotional.

“We’re still in the building phase,” she says. “For now, we work, save and invest so we can eventually reclaim our time.”

Her honesty is both practical and empowering. She isn’t chasing perfection, but alignment.

Her advice to mothers and entrepreneurs is simple: “You first. Always take care of yourself. If you’re not well, nothing else works — not family, not work, not your dreams.”
