A new community facility dedicated to empowering adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities has officially opened in Quezon City. The Gentle Giants’ Training & Livelihood Center (2G-TLC) was launched on 15 June 2025, through a partnership between Jomar’s Haven of Hope Foundation (JHHF) and the Boundless Possibilities Foundation (BPF).

The facility provides multiple functional spaces aimed at enhancing practical and creative skills. These include a dance and music studio, art room, printing room, and baking area, designed to support the personal development and productivity of adults with special needs, often referred to by the organizers as “Gentle Giants.”

The center was established in honor of the late Josemaria Javier A. Divina, son of JHHF founder Atty. Nilo T. Divina. The initiative reflects the foundations’ shared mission to improve quality of life and promote greater independence for adults with disabilities.

The opening ceremony was attended by JHHF and BPF officials, members of the Gentle Giants community and their families, along with representatives from various civic and disability advocacy organizations. These included the National Council on Disability Affairs, Autism Society Philippines, Best Buddies Philippines, Philippine Association for Citizens with Developmental & Learning Disabilities, and Families of Individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities – Philippines.

A highlight of the event was the launch of the Gentle Giants Art Exhibit, which will run until 15 July 2025, showcasing creative works by the center’s residents.

Representatives from several barangays and offices under Quezon City’s District 2 also attended, including staff from the office of Congressman Raffy Tulfo.

The facility aims to become a long-term support center for training, therapeutic care, and community engagement, expanding opportunities for individuals with disabilities to thrive in inclusive and supportive environments.

For more information about future programs or to visit the art exhibit, the public is encouraged to reach out to JHHF or BPF through their official platforms.
