De La Salle University (DLSU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Schools Division Offices in Manila and Quezon City and the partnership aims to improve education accessibility, innovation and responsiveness.
DLSU president Br. Bernard Oca FSC highlighted the significance of the collaboration for the institutions, as well as for students, teachers, and the community.
“This partnership is a testament to our shared commitment to building a stronger, brighter, and more inclusive future for all learners,” Oca said.
“Together, we aim to create learning environments where students can dream bigger, learn better, and achieve greater heights,” he added.
Representing the DepEd were Nerrisa R. Lomeda, officer-in-charge, Schools Division Superintendent and Chief Education Supervisor of Manila City; and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Juan C. Obierna, representing Schools Division Superintendent Carleen Sedilla of Quezon City.
Both Lomeda and Obierna emphasized the collaborative spirit, affirming that working with DLSU will amplify their shared mission.
“Through this partnership, we unite our resources, expertise, and passion to pursue a common vision — quality education that is accessible, forward-thinking, and attuned to the evolving needs of our society,” Obierna said.
