Motorists will have to shell out more for fuel starting Tuesday, 3 June, as oil companies are set to implement another round of price adjustments.
Gasoline and diesel prices will go up by P0.40 and P0.30 per liter, respectively, according to advisories from major players including Cleanfuel, Caltex, Petro Gazz, Seaoil, and Shell.
However, consumers using kerosene will get a slight reprieve as Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell announced a P0.10 per liter rollback for the product.
The latest price movements mark the third consecutive week of increases for gasoline, while kerosene prices have declined for two weeks in a row.
In contrast, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) continues to trend downward in June, extending a four-month streak of price reductions.
Petron reduced its LPG price by P1.75 per kilogram, while Solane-branded LPG dropped by P1.64 per kilogram. These adjustments bring down the cost of an 11-kilogram LPG cylinder by around P18.04 to P19.25.
The Department of Energy reports that current pump prices in Metro Manila range from P44 to P73.20 per liter for gasoline, P44 to P67.47 per liter for diesel, and P67.70 to P82.94 per liter for kerosene.
As of last month, LPG prices for an 11-kg cylinder were between P845 and P1,116.
