In a vibrant celebration of Filipino artistry and timeless elegance, Marian Rivera took center stage as the face of Burda at Habi: The Artistry of Filipino Fashion, Kultura’s latest fashion campaign spotlighting the beauty of embroidery and weaving in modern-day Filipiniana.

Held at the Kultura store in SM Mall of Asia, the pop-up launch on 8 May was a feast for the senses — showcasing handcrafted barongs, intricately embroidered terno blouses and a curated collection of locally made accessories that honor tradition while embracing modern flair. And no one could have embodied the spirit of the event better than Marian Rivera.

Radiant in a contemporary Filipiniana ensemble, the beloved actress and Kultura ambassador exuded the very essence of the modern Filipina — graceful, empowered and proudly rooted in heritage. Her presence drew crowds who eagerly lined up for the chance to meet her during the special meet-and-greet session. The first 50 lucky customers who made qualifying purchases were treated to an exclusive autographed Kultura fan and a moment with the star herself.

“I’ve always believed in the power of wearing our culture with pride,” Marian shared during the event. “Our fabrics, our embroidery, our stories — they all come together in pieces that are not just beautiful, but meaningful. I’m honored to be part of this movement that celebrates our heritage.”

The Burda at Habi series invites shoppers to reimagine traditional Filipino fashion through a contemporary lens. With pieces from renowned in-house and guest designers — including Raffaella, EN Barong Filipino, Binibini Marikit and Matthew and Melka — the collection features locally sourced textiles, dream-inspired weaves and eco-conscious fashion meant to stand the test of time.

Beyond Marian’s star power, what made the launch truly special was its deeper purpose: Supporting Filipino artisans and promoting sustainable fashion that proudly tells our story.

Following its run at SM Mall of Asia until 20 May, the Burda at Habi pop-up will travel to SM Baguio, SM Sta. Rosa, SM Iloilo and SM Southmall from 29 May to 12 June, bringing this powerful celebration of Filipino craftsmanship to more communities across the country.

With Marian Rivera at the helm, Kultura’s fashion-forward tribute to heritage is more than just a style statement — it’s a movement that redefines how we wear and honor our identity.
