There’s a love language many of us know by heart — one not always spoken, but always felt. It’s the love found in home-cooked meals, in packed lunches, in steaming bowls of soup when we’re sick. It’s the kind of love our moms give so freely and so often: the language of food.
This Mother’s Day, why not return the gesture in the same language she’s always spoken? Whether you’re cooking with her or for her, a heartfelt meal is one of the most meaningful ways to celebrate Mom. And Ajinomoto Philippines has a recipe that’s just perfect: Creamy Tuna-Broccoli Pasta. It's delicious, nutritious, and easy to make.
This dish combines the rich protein of tuna, the fiber and vitamins of broccoli, and the comforting indulgence of pasta — all enhanced by the umami flavor of AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix. It’s a satisfying meal that honors the way Mom always made us feel — nourished and cared for.
Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons (30 ml) Cooking oil
2 Tablespoons (30 grams) Unsalted butter
2 Tablespoons (30 grams) White onions, minced
2 Tablespoons (30 grams) Garlic, minced
1 can (420 grams) Tuna flakes in oil
1 cup (136 grams) Tomatoes, quartered
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) All-Purpose Cream
2 cups (312 grams) Broccoli, blanched, flowerettes
1 kilo (1000 grams) Pasta, spiral type, boiled according to package instruction
1 pack (8 grams) AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix
Salt and Pepper to taste
Procedure:
SAUTÉ. In a pan, heat oil then add unsalted butter. Sauté white onions and garlic until translucent.
ADD. Add tuna, tomato, all-purpose cream, and broccoli. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. Add pasta and mix well.
SEASON. Add AJI-GINISA®. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
SERVE. Enjoy while warm.
Cooking Tip:
To prevent dryness, ensure you have at least 1 ½ cups of sauce for every ½ kilo of pasta.
This Mother’s Day, let’s give more than gifts. Let’s give back the love she’s always shown — through food that’s wholesome, meaningful, and made with intention.
