After a nationwide search that celebrated the talent and heart of Filipino artists, Joelo De Castro rose to the top with his powerful, feel-good composition “I Can.” His winning entry in the Sound of Ikon competition captured not just ears, but the very spirit of the OFW journey — one of perseverance, hope, and unbreakable ties to family.
Launched by Ikon Solutions in partnership with Kumu, the Sound of Ikon challenged musicians to create an original jingle that embodied “The Power of People.” De Castro’s track struck a chord with its uplifting message, aligning perfectly with Ikon’s mission: Helping Filipinos land the best overseas jobs while staying rooted in their values and communities.
As the grand prize winner, De Castro walked away with a P50,000 cash prize and the unique opportunity to professionally record “I Can” — now officially the first-ever Ikon Solutions jingle.
The anthem is currently available on Ikon’s social media platforms, where it continues to move and motivate listeners, especially OFWs and their families around the world.
Beyond the music, this campaign underscores Ikon’s dedication to empowering Filipino workers with life-changing opportunities abroad.
Through initiatives like Sound of Ikon, the company honors the sacrifices, dreams, and everyday heroism of the Filipino workforce, reminding them, as the song boldly declares, that they can.
