“President Marcos and First Lady Liza marked 32 years of marriage on Maundy Thursday by taking part in a boodle fight on a beach in Ilocos Norte with two of their sons.

Happy Easter, Mr. President!
My readers said that even during the Holy Week President Bongbong Marcos was seen almost everywhere busy doing good for the Filipino people. They were appreciative of his concern for the people’s peace and safety.
“Let us give Bongbong Marcos a 100-percent approval rating for his performance and administration,” my readers urged. I readily agreed.
My readers also said: “Bongbong Marcos is the epitome of a good husband and head of family.”
On their 32nd wedding anniversary last Maundy Thursday, Bongbong said of Liza: “I’m still mystified how my wife, Liza, has managed to put up with me for so long without going insane. Thank you for your love, patience and strength. I love you, dear!”
He directed agencies to ensure the safety of Filipinos, whether they were traveling to various destinations or just staying at home.
“This Holy Week, let us choose peace, let us choose safety for ourselves and specially for our families,” said the President. He added that the public should be giving and humble while on the road.
“The Filipinos stand for our country. The Filipinos side with peace and safety, especially on the road. Let us be giving and humble,” he said.
Devotees earlier called on motorists to be disciplined while on the road and not resort to violence when there are unpleasant encounters like recent road rage incidents.
In a separate social media post, First Lady Liza Marcos reminded the public to treat one another with compassion and grace.
“On Holy Thursday, let us observe the power of humility and love. As Jesus washed the feet of His disciples and shared His last meal with them, may we also be reminded to treat one another with compassion and grace.
“May the Holy Week be a time of reflection and togetherness for every family,” she said.
President Marcos and First Lady Liza marked 32 years of marriage on Maundy Thursday by taking part in a boodle fight on a beach in Ilocos Norte with two of their sons. Mrs. Marcos shared a photo of their idyllic stay at Suba Beach on Thursday afternoon.
“When Bing Crosby first sang ‘The best things in life are free’ he probably wasn’t thinking about a boodle meal–although he might’ve been onto something,” the First Lady quipped on her social media account.
She added: “If our anniversary lunch says anything, it’s that nothing compares to the joy of sharing time and food with the people we love most!”
Two of the First Couple’s sons — Joseph Simon and William Vincent “Vinny” — were shown in a photo joining the boodle fight. It was unclear if House senior deputy majority floor and Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos III was with the First Family.
The Marcoses met in New York and were married in Italy on 17 April 1993.
