All is not lost for Larry Muyang.
The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) said on Monday that the controversial cager can still reach out to the Board of Governors.
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said the 6-foot-6 big man could do just that after getting banned indefinitely for playing for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League despite still being under contract with Phoenix.
The Fuel Masters won over defending champion Meralco, 109-97, last Sunday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium last Sunday.
“He apologized to me. But as I said, he has a contract with Phoenix and he has to honor that,” Marcial said.
“He has to appeal his case to the Board of Governors.”
Last January, the PBA banned San Miguel Beer guard Kyt Jimenez as he suited up for the Zamboanga Valientes in the 34th Dubai International Basketball Championship.
Last year, the league also banned NorthPort guard John Amores due to a shooting incident.
Phoenix has yet to release an official statement regarding Muyang.
