On 21 February 2025, official honors and special service medals are awarded to the late Police Col. Pergentino Malabed Jr. at the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Col. Malabed Jr. died last month in a collision between a military helicopter and a commercial plane in Washington D.C.
