The S&P Global ESG Score assesses how businesses handle their overall impact, opportunities and ESG risks.
With its most recent score, CEB has made notable progress in several important sustainability areas.
From 26 to 43 points, CEB’s environmental score increased by an astounding 17 points.
Progress in decarbonization initiatives, a more robust climate strategy, and improved environmental policies are the main drivers of this improvement.
The airline is also still managing the hazards related to energy and water use, trash management and pollution release.
“Managing risks and creating a more responsible company are key components of a successful ESG performance, which goes beyond simply reaching targets. We achieved our highest S&P Global ESG score to date. It’s more than just a significant milestone; it shows how far we’ve come in building a sustainable future,” CEB president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao remarked.
In addition to its environmental initiatives, CEB continues to lead the airline industry in social performance, obtaining 51 points, significantly higher than the average of 44.
The airline’s dedication to fair labor standards, stringent adherence to transportation safety regulations, strong passenger data protection and efficient workforce management is demonstrated by this accomplishment.
As a result of consistent performance in cybersecurity, information security, ethical practices and transparency reporting, as well as advancements in risk and crisis management, CEB’s governance score also increased by two points to 43.
CEB’s record ESG performance demonstrates its continuous efforts to improve passenger experiences while reducing environmental effects and improving its policies and procedures to comply with international sustainability requirements.
