At just 15 years old, Andrea Lagon has introduced Loca, a chic and summery collection of everyday wardrobe staples designed to elevate your style.

Whether you’re heading out for a coffee run, a casual date, or tackling errands, Loca offers stylish, comfortable pieces that blend confidence with practicality.

Drawing inspiration from vibrant color palettes and digital designs crafted with passion, Andrea ensures each piece doesn’t just fit — it embodies the effortless chic girl vibe. From off-shoulder tops to flowy skirts and lightweight pants, every item is thoughtfully designed to provide both comfort and style.

How it all began

Coming from a family of business-minded individuals running their own clothing brands, Andrea often found herself struggling to find clothes that suited her age, size and style.

“When I was really young, it was hard for me to find clothes that would fit my size… it would either be too small or too big, so I wanted to create a brand that would fit my age just right and that’s just like my style,” Andrea told DAILY TRIBUNE.

Inspired by her surroundings and driven by a desire to create something of her own, Andrea asked herself: what if I start my own brand?

“I guess being surrounded by a family business, where it’s about clothes, I also wanted to create one of my own since I can’t really fit into their clothing style ‘cause it’s more for the older people.”

From vision to reality

When it comes to the carefully drawn designs, Andrea credits her business partner, Anna Sadie, a Junior Fashion Designer from UNICA, for turning her vision into reality.

The duo collaborated seamlessly — Andrea conceptualized the designs, and Sadie brought them to life with her expertise.

“I first started to look for inspiration. I would go through websites (like Pinterest) and find what my style is,” Andrea said.

The 15-year-old brand owner added that she would often visit pop-up stores in different places to see what people are wearing.

The iconic scarf

During the brand launch, Andrea and Sadie showcased the best styling tips for Loca’s iconic scarf, a standout piece in the collection.

While Andrea shared that her personal favorite way to style the scarf is as a tube top, the duo demonstrated its versatility by highlighting multiple ways to wear it.

The scarf can transform into a halter top, a chic bandana, a stylish headband, or even a belt that perfectly complements Loca’s staple pants.

Sustainability at the core

Starting a brand at a young age is no small feat, but building one with sustainability at its core is an entirely different challenge — one that Andrea has wholeheartedly embraced. Achieving this requires not just creativity but also dedication to sourcing and utilizing eco-friendly materials.

One of Loca’s standout collections features fabrics made from recycled PET bottles, which sets the brand apart from conventional clothing brands.

Additionally, the designs on Loca’s clothes are printed using water-based inks, ensuring that the artistic elements of the garments are created with minimal environmental impact.

For Andrea, launching a clothing brand isn’t just about producing clothes — it’s about creating a brand with a meaningful purpose. By focusing on sustainability, she aims to provide young women with stylish, comfortable wardrobe staples while also promoting responsible consumption.

Loca’s physical store

As if the brand launch weren’t exciting enough, Andrea also announced another milestone: Loca will soon have a physical store.

“I’m not too sure on the date, but I think in a few weeks, we’ll have a store in UNICA, on the fifth floor of Shangri-La.”

Growing up, Andrea always believed that with the right amount of passion and dedication, anything is possible. To young individuals dreaming of starting their own business, she offers advice: “Just be yourself. Do whatever makes you happy and don’t get peer-pressured. It’s just you — and you can make whatever you want.”
