The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) on Wednesday launched a collaborative effort to develop a comprehensive Civil Aviation Master Plan (CAMP) for the Philippines.
CAAP said that the CAMP aims to address key challenges and capitalize on opportunities within the Philippine aviation sector, aligning it with international standards for safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
As part of the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package (SCOPE) Aviation Partnership Project (APP), EASA is hosting high-level meetings with CAAP and other stakeholders from 21 to 23 January.
The SCOPE APP is an EU initiative focused on improving air transport safety, sustainability, and connectivity across ASEAN member states and the EU.
Eight aviation specialists will work with CAAP to develop the master plan tailored to the specific needs and context of the Philippine aviation industry.
This collaboration marks a significant step forward for Philippine aviation, with the potential to enhance safety, improve connectivity, and position the country as a regional leader in sustainable and resilient air travel.
