The layout of Kaifu Temple follows a central axis, guiding visitors through a sequence of spiritually significant spaces. From the Captive Animal’s Free Pond to the Maitreya Temple, Grand Palace, and Pilu Temple, each structure is a testament to the artistry of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Symmetry defines the temple’s design. The east side houses the guest hall, fast hall, Moni House, and violet hall, while the west features the lecture hall, Zen hall and prayer hall. These areas are interconnected by winding corridors, creating a harmonious flow that mirrors the teachings of Buddhism.
