Travelers can expect better services and greater connectivity in 2025 as Cebu Pacific (CEB) closes the year with the delivery of its 17th aircraft for the year — bringing its commercial fleet to 91 aircraft.
The Gokongwei-led airlines said on Friday that the 236-seater A321neo landed in Manila just a day before Christmas, reinforcing its commitment to meeting the rising travel demand and enhancing its network in the coming year.
“The arrival of this new aircraft reinforces our readiness to meet the rising travel demand and our commitment to enhancing connectivity for our passengers in 2025 and beyond,” Xander Lao, CEB president and chief commercial officer, said.
Airbus NEOs, including the A321neo, are the latest-generation aircraft that consume 15 percent less fuel per flight and produce reduced noise levels compared to previous models. This fuel efficiency also contributes to lower carbon emissions, aligning with sustainability goals.
In October, CEB announced a landmark purchase agreement with Airbus and Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, for up to 152 A321neo aircraft equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engines. Valued at approximately $24 billion or about P1.4 trillion) based on list prices, this acquisition is the largest in Philippine aviation history.
CEB continues to operate one of the youngest fleets in the world, featuring a diversified mix of 10 Airbus A330s, 40 Airbus A320s, 26 Airbus A321s, and 15 ATR turboprop aircraft, ensuring the widest network coverage across the Philippines.
Operating in over 60 destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, CEB boasts the most extensive network in the Philippines, connecting travelers to top inter-island destinations through hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, Iloilo and Davao.
