Cebu Pacific's inflight fundraising initiative, Change for Good, has officially surpassed the ₱100-million mark, showcasing the power of collective action and the airline’s dedication to helping vulnerable children across the Philippines.
As of 23 October 2024, the campaign has raised ₱100,455,523.65. Launched in partnership with UNICEF in 2016, the initiative invites passengers to donate spare change in any currency during flights. These donations fund essential services, including health, nutrition, education, and emergency relief programs for children nationwide.
“Reaching the ₱100-million mark not only strengthens our commitment but also inspires us to continue supporting initiatives that build a better future for every Juan," said Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific’s Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer.
This milestone follows Cebu Pacific’s renewed partnership with UNICEF under the new Country Programme for Children, extending the collaboration to 2028. The campaign aims to bring resources to more communities, particularly in areas affected by poverty, conflict, and natural disasters.
“Cebu Pacific is one of our valuable partners in upholding the rights of children in the Philippines,” said Behzad Noubary, UNICEF’s Deputy Representative to the Philippines. “Their commitment has created positive, lasting impacts in communities, and we are deeply thankful to all passengers who have contributed to this cause.”
As the first airline in Southeast Asia to raise funds for UNICEF programs, Cebu Pacific has pioneered a model encouraging passengers to actively support children’s welfare.
Through its renewed partnership and expanded efforts, Cebu Pacific’s Change for Good campaign continues to build a brighter future for children across the Philippines.
