Senatorial candidate Luis "Chavit" Singson underscored the importance of radio in shaping public awareness as he addressed RMN Networks' nationwide managers during the company’s 72nd-anniversary celebration held at the Golden Phoenix Hotel in Pasay City on Wednesday.

A veteran politician and businessman, Singson used the occasion to share his vision for the nation while emphasizing radio’s critical role in connecting with communities and fostering informed dialogue.

"In the media, the most important is the radio station," Singson said, acknowledging the medium’s extensive reach and influence across the country.

During his speech, the former governor of Ilocos Sur expressed concern about the limited public awareness of his senatorial bid.

“Awareness is the most important, and yet many people do not know that I am running for senator,” he remarked.

He encouraged RMN’s network of managers to help amplify his message, leveraging radio’s ability to connect with Filipinos nationwide.

The event, attended by RMN executives and station managers from across the country, provided Singson a platform to outline his priorities as a potential senator. These include strengthening media networks, fostering regional development, and ensuring that radio continues to play a vital role in national progress.

As the election approaches, Singson’s collaboration with RMN Networks highlights his strategic efforts to maximize radio’s far-reaching influence in rallying public support.

With decades of leadership experience, Singson conveyed his commitment to bring his advocacy and vision to the Senate, positioning radio as a key ally in engaging the Filipino people and promoting national development.
