Some people who use a bathtub for other than its intended purpose can get into a heap of trouble.
Acting on an anonymous tip, Florida police went to the house of Robert Robinson in Saint Cloud and searched it last October with his permission. The officers found five alligators in a bathtub and seized the illegal pets.
The police confronted the 38-year-old Robinson who admitted catching the reptiles in a nearby pond.
He was issued a criminal citation for the personal possession of wildlife without a permit and the gators were released into Lake Tohopekaliga, Fox 35 Orlando reported.
In China, a 48-year-old chess player crowned champion in a Hainan province competition last 17 December was stripped of his title the following day by organizers for shameful conduct at a hotel hosting a contestant of the event.
The governing body of Chinese chess also forced Yan Chenglong to forfeit an undisclosed amount of the 100,000-yuan cash prize he won and he was disqualified from participating in any Chinese chess competitions for one year, Kotaku reported.
“Yan consumed alcohol with others in his room on the night of the 17th, and then he defecated in the bathtub of the room he was staying in on the 18th, in an act that damaged hotel property, violated public order and good morals, had a negative impact on the competition and the event of Xiangqi, and was of extremely bad character,” the Chinese Xiangqi Association said in explaining the sanctions on Yan, according to Kotaku.
The guy admitted he was behind the mess due to an upset stomach caused by a drinking celebration after his win, but explained that he couldn’t make it to the toilet in time so he was forced to excrete in the bathtub. The CXA, however, disregarded this.
Yan is now suing the CXA before a court in Henan, demanding that the association apologize, restore his reputation in the media and pay him 100,000 yuan, the Independent reported.
