Construction worker drowns at Binondo sea wall

A 33-year-old construction worker died after he drowned Friday night at the Sea Wall of the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge in Intramuros, Manila.

PSSg Joeffrey Magat, an investigator at the Manila Police District -Police Station 5, identified the victim as Jonathan Pava y Percia, 33, construction worker, and resident of  Sitio Labahan looban, Barangay San Isidro, Angono, Rizal.

The incident occurred at 7:30 p.m. when the victim dived at the said place and never surfaced.

According to Rogyn Penano y Pava, 30, also a construction worker, they agreed to swim at the said place but he no longer saw his cousin after diving.

Police have taken hold of the body and brought it to the Cruz Funeral home for examination and autopsy.
