About 2,500 job vacancies were opened to applicants yesterday in the Kalinga sa Maynila PESO jobs fair held in Malate, Manila, Mayor Honey Lacuna said.

The fair had jobs for high school and college graduates, as well as for college-level applicants, and was held under the supervision of the city’s public employment service office.

It was also undertaken in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment. Most of the applicants came from barangays 696, 697, 698, 699 and 703.

Lacuna said that the Special Program for Employment of Students or SPES is also underway, with 40 slots offered to the city of Manila by the KNC Group of Companies for the first batch.
