Metro Retail Stores Group Inc., or MRSGI, will pursue its expansion plans in the Visayas with the recent groundbreaking of Metro Supermarket in the municipality of Dalaguete, Cebu.

The ceremony was attended by local government officials, esteemed guests and representatives of the private sector, reflecting a strong commitment to the project and the vision of progress for the community.

Dalaguete Municipal Mayor Ronald Allan Cesante expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration and said that MRSGI coming to Dalaguete is a big undertaking on the part of the business conglomerate as well as for its people.

Boon to community

The soon-to-rise store is expected to not only offer quality goods and services but also provide employment opportunities to the community, contributing to the overall economic growth of Dalaguete.

"The vision of Metro Supermarket goes beyond providing goods and services. It is a commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen, supporting local initiatives, and becoming an integral part of the fabric of our community," said MRSGI president and chief operating officer Manuel Alberto.

"With the support of the local government and the active participation of our residents, this vision will undoubtedly become a reality," he continued.

The partnership agreement was signed by the local government of Dalaguete led by Cesante and representatives of MRSGI led by Alberto.
