The Armed Forces of the Philippines on Thursday feted individuals, groups, and people's organizations for their invaluable support to the military's "Pagkakaisa" campaign.

The ceremonial honoring of the AFP's peace partners coincides with the military organization's celebration of its 88th anniversary at the General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

AFP Public Affairs chief, Col. Xerxes Trinidad, said the stakeholders were selected for their contributions to the military's campaign, with their direct involvement in the AFP's objectives.

These individuals also supported AFP capabilities and modernization program, patriotism, and engagement and humanitarian development initiatives, he added.

"They were also rated for their influence, partnership, and commitment. The People's Organizations on the other hand were former underground mass organizations of the New People's Army that have surfaced and now support the government's peace initiatives," Trinidad added.

In his remarks, AFP chief General Romeo Brawner Jr., urged the military personnel, civilian employees, and AFP peace partners to "harness the power of unity, strength, and resilience embedded in the spirit of every Filipino."

"It symbolizes the history we carry, the sacrifices of our ancestors, and the dreams of tomorrow's generations. I express my heartfelt gratitude to our awardees whose exceptional contributions have earned our utmost admiration. Your commitment and support have played a vital role in our achievements," Brawner added.
