Police uproot weed on Christmas

BAGUIO CITY — Law enforcers in Benguet launched a marijuana eradication operation on Christmas Day.

The operation was led by personnel of the Kibungan Municipal Police Station (MPS), together with operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and Benguet Provincial Police Office (PPO). They were accompanied by personnel of the  Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Cordillera.

During the operation, they discovered three marijuana plantations at Sitio Bagiw, Tacadang, Kibungan in Benguet. Around 1,375 fully grown marijuana plants were seen at the sites. The plants were estimated to be worth P275,000. They were uprooted and burned onsite.
