Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna led the groundbreaking for a  six-story school building at the Aurora A. Quezon Elementary School in Malate, Manila.

City engineer Armand Andres said the new building will have 75 classrooms, a library, computer room, clinic and two elevator units.

Lacuna called on the school authorities concerned to do their best to maintain and take good care of the new building.

She also underscored the importance of education as the most important legacy parents can give their children as it will serve as their foundation for a bright future.

The city government, Lacuna added, is closely coordinating with the Department of Education to address all the needs of students.
