Disparaging stories about Ben&Ben's alleged unprofessionalism surfaced on X (formerly Twitter).
One says that one guy got the band for P750,000 plus for a wedding function but here's the catch: Ben&Ben might not attend the event but "they will still book us and require downpayment." That was quite baffling to the guy as it is very vague from the very beginning.
Another guy recalled Ben&Ben's bratty ways during Leni Robredo's presidential campaign in 2022 as he claimed that the group posted a reaction against Tanya Markova, a Pinoy rock band. He added that the group is also bereft of word of honor as he inquired about Ben&Ben's TF for an event and there were delaying tactics. The band's "we'll get back to you" was all there was to it and it caused the delay of the launch that is being organized.
To all these, Ben&Ben has already issued a denial on their social media account, saying, "Hay. Kakalungkot na nabubuhay tayo ngayon sa panahong kailangan pa nating ipagtanggol ang sarli sa pek news anu (It's sad that we live today where we need to defend ourself from fake news, right?)."
"Basta tugtog, sulat at awit na lang kami para sa inyo, Takits (It's just playing, writing and singing from us for you. See you)," they added.
Of course, Ben&Ben fans also see the post as "fake news" and a demolition job on the band.
"Syempre fake news 'yan. eh kita naman sa socmeds ang mga schedules nila. 2 events nila dito sa Davao, nakabook na months and months before the actual show. So imposible yang mga ganyang chika. Parang Zack Tabudlo fake story na naman yan (Of course, it's fake news. It can be seen in socmeds their schedules. They have two events in Davao, it's been booked months and months before the actual show. So, it's impossible that kind of story. It's like Zack Tabudlo fake story again)," said one fan.
"Looks like a demolition tactics/character assassination ng isang (of one) hater," one fan wailed.
"Had the opportunity to work with them during a school event. Very humble, very nice and polite naman. Never nagka problem. I hope this gets sorted out," one guy recalled.
"Had the opportunity to sit down with twins during a dinner invite sa bahay ng isang kaibigan. Silang dalawa lang, my friend+wife, and myself lang. Sobrang articulate (engineer nga haha) and yet down to earth ang dalawa. And very concerned w/ the state of politics sa bansa," said another guy.
"Sa Leni rallies and other events, worked with them and they're really nice," recalled one fan.
One fan advised netizens to not believe it outright: "Wag muna maniwala sa ganyang post "unless" mag proof.. sana ipinost yung convo para maniwala kasi kung kwento lang na ganyan mahirap na mabiktima ng fakenews (Don't believe that kind of post unless there's proof. Hope the convo will be posted for us to believe because a story like that, it's hard to be a victim of fake news)."
Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati seen in Zion's school
The Richard Gutierrez-Sarah Lahbati breakup seems to have reached feverish pitch as the couple is no longer seen on Instagram together.
Speculations already arose that they hit Splitsville even though no one has dignified this issue.
On the actor's Instagram account, posts showed him playing around with his two boys, Lahbati was conspicuously absent from any of his posts. The last time Lahbati was with Gutierrez was in August where they were shown attending Maja Salvador's wedding to Rambo Nunez.
Noticing Lahbati's absence in a post where Gutierrez was shown playing around with his sons while in a swimming pool, one fan asked, "Bakit Wala na po kayong photo together ni Sarah? Hiwalay na po ba kau? (Why do you not have a photo together with Sarah? Are you already separated?)"
What it generated was a slew of reactions from the fans of the actor as Gutierrez offered no reply.
Eagle-eyed netizens also noticed Lahbati's absence in the posh birthday party of Gutierrez's mom, Annabelle Rama.
If it's any consolation, one fan said, "feeling medyo okay na sila, I saw them 3 days ago magkasama sa school nila Zion (I have a feeling that they're okay. I saw them three days ago together in Zion's school)."
