NOW Group, led by businessman Mel Velarde, has introduced three new model solutions that promise to mitigate the widespread and unchecked security breaches affecting physical and digital infrastructures.
Listed NOW Corp. informed the local bourse that it has collaborated with NOW Telecom to develop a secure and seamless integration of a digital bank's value chain, leveraging both office and remote workforces. This combined human-machine cybersecurity deterrence program is designed for large enterprises.
They also launched a technology upgrade contract from an American business process outsourcing company, which required complete sensor and video surveillance solutions to monitor the movement of data, objects and people connected to its U.S. command and control headquarters.
The "Respond and Replace" program addresses the need for comprehensive end-to-end solutions to address threats to physical and digital critical infrastructure from businesses and governments.
To further supplement these efforts, NOW launched "TODAY" (Technologies on Demand Assist You) tasked with managing the Respond and Replace program. A Cyber Threat Assessment is designed to identify and address vulnerabilities in both private and public sector organizations.
The Philippines is notably susceptible to cyberattacks that endanger both government agencies and the personal information of its citizens.
The recent wave of cyberattacks on government institutions hit the Philippine Statistics Authority, just weeks after the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. was also targeted by a ransomware attack.
NOW has strategic alliances with global tech giants like CISCO, Nokia, Fortinet, Mangata, OneWeb, Celona, and other technology partners. These alliances, along with collaborations with the Philippine military, the Cybercrime Investigation Coordinating Center, the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority, Union Bank of the Philippines and other organizations, have resulted in a comprehensive set of solutions to counteract and protect against cyber threats.
About 60 countries are at present members of the Trusted Network Initiative, a strong alliance dedicated to protecting data privacy and national security.
