Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa, who was the then-PNP chief when former Senator Leila De Lima was arrested over an illegal drug trading charge, said he respects the decision of the court.
"I always respect court decisions as I always observe the separation of powers," Dela Rosa told reporters when asked for a comment after a Muntinlupa court granted De Lima's motion for reconsideration on her bail petition.
On Monday, the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 206 decided to allow De Lima to post bail in her remaining drug case, almost seven years after she was first detained for drug cases.
