Shell tilt honors student artists
The artworks presented tonight are not merely paintings, sculptures, or photographs, they are a celebration of unique talent that resides within each artist

Shell Pilipinas Corporation has recognized the works of student artists from various schools for the 56th annual National Students Art Competition, or NSAC.
The awarding ceremony was held at the Ayala Museum, and was attended by student finalists and judges.
"The artworks presented are not merely paintings, sculptures, or photographs, they are a celebration of unique talent that resides within each artist, and a testament to the cultural tapestry that defines the Philippines.
Young artists are shaping the narrative of progress, challenging the status quo, and inspiring us all to seek a brighter and more innovative future," Serge Bernal, SPC's vice president for corporate relations, said.
"You are not just artists; you are ambassadors of Filipino creativity and your voices echo with a promise of a brighter tomorrow," he continued.
With the theme "Galíng Pinoy, Galing Pinoy," the contest seeks to leave a mark this year by putting the spotlight on student artists conveying local ingenuity and progress through their art.
"[The theme] is a powerful call to action as the term challenges young artists to dwell into the rich role of the stories and collective experiences of local communities, drawing inspiration from the ingenuity that defines the Filipino spirit," National Commission on Culture and Arts chairman Victorino Manalo said.
This year's edition was memorable for both the organizers and the participants because the contest introduced photography as a new category; and that in the entire years of NSAC, this year had the most number of entries with more than 2,000 submissions.
