NSC passing TikTok judgment soon

The government is fast-tracking its threat assessment of TikTok to decide whether to prohibit the use of the
video-sharing app by government security workers, an official of the National Security Council said Tuesday.
"The proposal to ban TikTok is simply for the security sector because many, many countries in the world have already banned it from government devices," said Jonathan Malaya, NSC's assistant director-general for strategic communications.
Malaya said the government hopes the threat assessment "will be finished within the year" and a decision will be made "very soon."
