One good reason to skip drinking beer from time to time is to stay healthy. Another is to avoid contaminants that may be mixed in with the beer considering what happened at a plant of Chinese beer-maker Tsingtao Brewery.
A video of a worker urinating into a tank of beer in a Tsingtao factory went viral last month. It received tens of millions of views on the Chinese social media site Weibo.
Tsingtao issued a statement saying the incident had been reported to authorities and that the batch of malt suspected of being tainted with urine had been sealed off, according to the New York Post.
Meanwhile, a new artisanal beer's unusual ingredient is expected to attract patrons and sales for Polish beermaker The Order of Yoni's.
The company is using a special lactic acid to ferment beer, according to TOOY's website. The bacteria is sourced from 29-year-old Kaitlyn Siragusa, a Houston-based online influencer with 6.4 million followers on Twitch, a livestreaming platfotm for gamers.
TOOY describes the beer as pleasurable with every sip and gives drinker a sensual experience.
The additive gives the beer a creamy but sweet taste, according to Siragusa, who uses Amouranth as her name on Twitch and OnlyFans, an internet content subscription service.
Describing how the bacteria is produced, Siragusa said she pap smears herself and hands her vaginal smear sample to a gynecologist, New York Post reported.
TOOY says on its website the "smears are taken to a laboratory where bacteria are isolated, cleaned, then analyzed and multiplied."
"At the end of the process, the bacteria are used to produce the pure lactic acid that goes into Yoni beer," according to NYP
In an interview with Dexerto, Siragusa was asked if people will drink beer with her vaginal yeast in it.
"It's hilarious. People will buy it for sure," she replied, according to NYP. "I don't know if they'll actually drink it, I mean, they'll probably drink it."
