Mad dash

Commuters who are late for appointments or work are generally in a hurry.
When a minister of Uttar Pradesh, India realized he could miss the morning train on 24 August, he drove his official SUV car onto the platform at Lucknow's Charbagh railway station, Hindustan Times reported.
A video of the SUV rolling on a ramp to the station platform went viral on social media. Animal husbandry minister Dharampal Singh reportedly parked the car, got down, and took the escalator to catch the train going to Bareilly.
Netizens slammed the minister for taking his car inside the railway station, according to HT. Singh, however, denied parking his car on the platform.
For a female traveler who was late for her QantasLink flight to Adelaide, Australia on 1 November, she literally caught her plane at the Canberra Airport, albeit only momentarily.
Witnesses saw the woman run past security guards towards the tarmac as the QantasLink plane prepared to move to the runway for its takeoff.
The woman was then seen jumping and yelling at the cockpit to get the pilot's attention as if she was flagging down a taxi, the New York Post reported.
One witness said that everyone at the airport didn't know what to do with the situation, as it never happened before.
When the pilot noticed the woman dangerously close to the aircraft, he stopped the engine but not to let her in.
The pilot waited for the police to arrest the woman, whose shocking antics delayed all flights by 10 minutes, according to NYP.
