The Social Security System on Tuesday reported that president and chief executive officer Rolando Ledesma Macasaet and other agency officials were themselves served notices of violation to six employers in Taguig City who were found to be delinquent on their employees' contributions this week.
This was part of SSS continuing Run After Contribution Evaders campaign and operations to cite delinquent employers around the country.
Macasaet, while serving two of the six employers, urged the owners of a pharmacy and a household appliances retail store to settle their contribution delinquencies.
The two establishments, according to Macasaet, failed to remit the contributions of its workers and were found to have non-production of records. The two employers incurred P3.4 million in unpaid workers' contributions and penalties.
Macasaet said the employers cited have only 15 days to coordinate with the SSS Bicutan-Sun Valley Branch and settle their contribution delinquencies to avoid filing of civil, criminal, and administrative cases against them for violating Republic Act 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018.
Joining Macasaet at the said RACE operation were SSS executive vice president for Branch Operations Sector Voltaire P. Agas and vice president for Operations Legal Services Division I Renato Jacinto S. Cuisia and Social Security Commissioner representing the Employers' Group Robert Joseph M. de Claro.
