Jodi Sta. Maria lauds Gabbi Garcia: ‘Nakikita ko ang hunger niya for growth’

Working with Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia in the drama series Unbreak My Heart gave Jodi Sta. Maria the chance to be close to the younger actress.

Garcia plays Sta. Maria's daughter who falls in love with the character of Joshua Garcia, not knowing that her mom (Sta. Maria) was Garcia's first girlfriend.

"It's always a good experience to be working with Kapuso actors. I've had a lot of scenes with Gabbi (Garcia) here and I can say talaga na naging close kami. We share one dressing room so we really work forward to taping days," said Sta. Maria.

"I just respect this lady so much kasi nakikita ko sa kanya 'yung hunger niya for growth sa craft (I can see her hunger for growth in her craft). Nakakatuwa iyon na marinig sa younger stars (That's wonderful to hear from younger stars). It's a good experience, so thank you Gabbi for sharing your talent with us," Sta. Maria added.

Working with Richard Yap, who played her leading man in Be Careful With My Heart, was also welcome news for Sta. Maria.  The two have worked on about four or five projects, "so masasabi ko talaga na isa siya sa mga actor na sobrang komportable akong katrabaho" (I can really say that he's one of the actors I am most comfortable working with).

Alex Gonzaga: 'Painful yet joyful'

Some confusion arose when Alex Gonzaga recently posted a message on her Facebook account, where she said: "Painful and yet joyful. Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you. He will never let the righteous be shaken. And He did! Today we received a news how God wanted it to be. Thank you Lord Jesus. Praying one day by God's grace we will be able to tell a beautiful testimony on How God answered our prayer. Thank you for the grace that gives us peace and acceptance. It may be painful today but we are joyful that God's will prevailed. In His own time."

Alex's husband, Mikee Morada, reacted to the message in the comments, saying: "Love you my strong wife! As long as you're ok, i am ok."

Gonzaga's post intrigued many of her followers, with many speculating that she was pregnant. Others, however, had a different view.

"Please understand what alex is saying. Painful yet joyful diba? Maybe it's the other way around of being pregnant. Maybe di na sila magkakaanak but still they choose to be positive and accepting the situation despite sa nangyari. Please understand the thought of the post sana, mali man ako sa thought ko but she's not trying to say that she's pregnant" went one comment.

This was echoed by another netizen who said, "It seemed a lot people did not understand the message of Alex. Be strong po. In God's perfect time."

Well, only Gonzaga can clear the air. Which is which, Alex?
