LTFRB whistleblower Jefferson Tumbado was summoned to DoJ on 16 October.

The National Bureau of Investigation has asked the former executive assistant of suspended Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board Chairman, Teofilo Guadiz III, to shed light on his corruption allegations in the LTFRB.
Justice Assistant Secretary and spokesman, Atty. Jose Dominic F. Clavano IV, yesterday said the NBI had issued a subpoena to Jefferson Tumbado, the former executive assistant of Guadiz, to appear at the agency on 16 October to expound on his allegations.
The subpoena, however, "could not be served due to the incorrect address on Mr. Tumbado's affidavit," Clavano said.
A certification obtained by the NBI said the address in Tumbado's affidavit "does not exist." He said the "NBI is in the process of serving another subpoena to the right address."
"This will delay the process a little bit as he was supposed to appear on Monday," Clavano said. "But Tumbado "can reach out to the NBI if he is willing to still appear on Monday."
Tumbado, on 9 October, appeared at a press conference called by transport group MANIBELA, where he accused Guadiz of accepting bribes in exchange for the quick approval of public transportation routes, franchises, and permits.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. suspended Guadiz following Tumbado's allegations.
On 11 October, Tumbado issued an affidavit recanting his allegations.
Reports quoted Tumbado as saying, "After careful reflection and deliberation, it is my honest desire to reiterate that whatever allegations may have been made during the press conference on 9 October were all unintentional and misguided."
