Crime incidents in QC down 25%

Quezon City Police District, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General Redrico Maranan, proudly announced the continuous decrease of crime incidents in the city for the past week.
Maranan said that for three consecutive weeks, the eight focus crimes (Murder, Homicide, Physical Injury, Rape, Theft, Robbery, Car Theft and Motorcycle Theft) decreased from 62 incidents on 11 to 17 September, to 43 incidents on 18 to 24 September. This shows a decrease of 19 incidents or 30.65 percent.
Further, from 43 incidents the previous week, the QCPD recorded 40 incidents from 25 September to 1 October, which decreased by 3 incidents or 6.98 percent, while on 2 to 8 October, 30 crime incidents were recorded which showed a decrease of 25 percent or 10 incidents.
Maranan said the decline in street crimes can be attributed to the deployment of the Task Force-District Anti-Criminality Response Team which was conducting patrol on the streets and the newly 12 hours duty scheme of patrols which increased police presence in the city.
This valuable accomplishment illustrates the dedication and effectiveness of QCPD law enforcement.
