Housing beneficiaries will not only have a roof for themselves but they also have a chance to improve their livelihood.

This was after the National Housing Authority signed into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Technical Education and Skills Education Development Authority as a commitment to ensuring the availability of livelihood and employment opportunities for NHA housing beneficiaries, on 9 October 2023, at the NHA Main Office Board Room.

As part of the NHA's 48th-anniversary celebration, the ceremonial signing was attended by Assistant General Manager Alvin S. Feliciano, representing General Manager Joeben A. Tai, while TESDA Secretary Suharto T. Mangundadatu was represented by Deputy Director General for Operations Aniceto D. Bertiz III.

The agreement highlights the strengthened tie-up of the two agencies in identifying and providing appropriate training programs and other interventions that will enhance the employability and entrepreneurship qualities of livelihood beneficiaries.

Under R.A. 7279, "Urban Development and Housing Act" of 1992, the Authority continuously conducts livelihood programs and skills enhancement opportunities to support, sustain, and aid families' socio-economic status within the resettlement site.

Meanwhile, TESDA is currently implementing the Technical Vocational Education and Training program which is intended to provide technical training on technology and related sciences and practical skills acquisition.

Through this, the NHA and TESDA have strengthened their synergy in bringing government service closer to the beneficiaries, a goal to which GM Tai and the NHA strongly adhere.

The NHA under the Bagong Pilipinas campaign of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. commits to providing comprehensive programs in addressing the housing needs of every Filipino family.
