Extreme weather events fueled by climate change, from floods and storms to droughts and wildfires, caused 43.1 million displacements of children from 2016 to 2021, the UN Children's Fund warned in a report published Thursday.
Partial estimates show that floods linked to overflowing rivers alone could spark 96 million child displacements in the next 30 years, while cyclonic winds could force 10.3 million displacements, the report said.
