Go get that crown, Nikki!

Filipina beauty queen Nikki de Moura is all set to represent the Philippines at the Miss Grand International pageant in Vietnam, where the coronation night will be held.

"Laban Philippines! This journey is not just for me, but ours as a nation. The unwavering support of my Kababayans are with me as I represent the Philippines in the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant," De Moura said in an Instagram post on 4 October.

Local organizer Miss Grand Philippines likewise rallied support for the beauty queen, sharing multiple airport photos of De Moura.

"Let's shower her with our best wishes and support as she proudly raises her beloved Philippines flag on the international stage," the organization said.

De Moura is Miss Grand International's first Philippine representative under ALV Pageant Circle, after Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. withdrew from the organization in November 2022.

In July, the Filipino-Brazilian model became the titleholder of the country's first "golden crown," besting 29 other contestants at the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 pageant.

The 19-year-old beauty queen is a multiple title-holder. In 2019, she was crowned Miss Teen Philippines at the age of 15. She also showcased her beauty and talent on the international stage when she represented the country in Supermodel Me, finishing in second place.

The Philippines has yet to win the Miss Grand International crown. The country's best placements in the pageant have been courtesy of Nicole Cordoves and Samantha Bernardo, who placed first runner-up in 2016 and 2021, respectively.

Brazil's Isabella Menin is the current Miss Grand International. The coronation night is set for 25 October. Go get that crown, Nikki!
