Operatives of the Manila Police District District Special Operating Unit arrested a notorious lady drug pusher in Isla Puting Bato in Tondo during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday night.
Police identified the suspect as Mary Ann Evaresto y Mejica a.k.a Maan, 27 years old , female, single, Filipino, jobless, and a resident of No. 457, Area B, Gate 10, Parola Compound, Barangay 20, Tondo, Manila.
According to PMAJ Rommel Purisima, acting chief, DSOU, the suspect was reportedly a member of the dreaded Sagnip Criminal Gang responsible for a series of holdups and robberies in the vicinity.
Confiscated pieces of evidence during the operation were one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be Shabu weighing more or less three grams with an SDP value of P20,400.
Charges for Violation of Section 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) will be filed against the suspect at the Manila City Prosecutors Office.
