The National Police Commission celebrated its 57th founding anniversary over the weekend, honoring three uniformed members of the Philippine National Police.
The anniversary program, which was held in a hybrid format, was themed "Exemplifying Accountability and Integrity in the Police Service."
The three awardees were:
Pat. Randy T. Agdeppa of the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Police Office, Police Regional Office 2, for rescuing a fellow police officer who accidentally got electrocuted.
P/SSG Lloyd C. Elefante of the Pampanga PPO, PRO 3, for rescuing a family of six from drowning.
P/CMS Mario F. Bariquit of the Davao del Sur PPO, PRO 11, for neutralizing robbery with rape suspects and the notorious Cansing Criminal Gang.
The Napolcom also recognized four community partners for their invaluable contribution and support to the Commission's programs and projects.
Recognized were the United States Embassy, represented by Mr. Luke Bruns, Deputy Director of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs; the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, represented by Atty. Kirby Tibayan, Mr. Olivier George Lermet, and Ms. JoAnn Emilene de Belen; Atty. Engelbert C. Caronan Jr., President of the Development Academy of the Philippines, and SVP Magdalena L. Mendoza, also from DAP; and Ronald Y. Bello, Musical Director of the Napolcom Chorale, and Cristina DL Tan, former President of the Napolcom Chorale.
