2023 Taiwan Food Tour slated

Food plays a central role in just about any culture and in Taiwan, just like in any country, food is celebrated in the most special and unique way because it is a way of life. It has experienced continuing evolution to cater to the palates of a whole new generation of Taiwanese, and at the same time captured the attention of food enthusiasts from all over the world.

Filipinos are no exception, taking a special liking to favorite Taiwanese food delights such as the Soup Dumplings or Xiao Long Bao and of course, the all-time favorite Milk and Bubble Teas. These beloved food choices have thus endeared Taiwanese food products in the hearts of Filipino food lovers.

This is the reason why the Taiwan External Trade Development Council Manila or TAITRA, together with Taiwan's Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs, is bringing to the beloved Taiwan Food Tour in the Philippines.

Taiwan aims to further broaden the horizon of the global market of its food and beverage industry through the Taiwan Food Tour, a perspective concept inspired by Shenkeng Old Street, a famous and insanely busy market in New Taipei City, an area known for its delectable delicacies and unique souvenir items.

The Taiwan Food Tour, which has already made stops in countries such as Malaysia and South Korea, will showcase a collection of distinct and innovative Taiwanese products, from dry goods, ready-to-eat food items loved by busy Filipinos, frozen goods, snacks and beverages, sauces and ingredients.

And aside from tasty delights, the Taiwan Food Tour Philippines will also feature day-long activities, lots of games with exciting prizes, appearance of Filipino comedian, influencer, and Taiwanese culture fan – Kiray Celis, promotional activities and of course, an endless stream of free tastes so that visitors can sample what the tour has to offer.

Taiwan Food Tour Philippines will be held on 15, 16 and 17 September 2023 at SM City Fairview in Quezon City.
