The local government of Talisay City in Cebu province disclosed on Thursday that it has opened a new command center in the city — regarded as one of the busiest economic center.
Talisay City Mayor Gerard Anthony Gullas inaugurated the command center in Barangay Tabunok.
"We have strengthened our security monitoring for our constituents and to those who visit Barangay Tabunok for their own safety," Gullas said.
He described the barangay's command center as being equipped with 32 close circuit televisions installed in strategic locations to allow barangay officials to help monitor the city's business center.
"I am really happy that Tabunok was able to put up its command center. This will be a helpful addition to Tabunok's security preparations," Gullas said.
