ECHO ended its MSC 2023 campaign in third place following a hard-fought win over hometown favorite Burn X Flash earlier today at Aeon Mall Mean Chey in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
ECHO, the M4 Mobile Legends world champion and MPL PH Season 11 champion, was dealt with a 0-3 sweep by Indonesian powerhouse Onic Esports in the semifinals of the tournament which took them out of championship contention.
"We had to reset and move on from the loss," said ECHO country manager Mitch Liwanag.
"We had to focus on Burn X Flash because it was not yet over and we still had a battle for third. We talked to the players and told them that we have to move on and plan again for Burn X Flash."
Their third-place finish did not come easy either, as ECHO had to muster every weapon in their arsenal to come up with a 3-2 victory over Burn X Flash and bring home $30,000 for their efforts.
