University of Perpetual Help System Dalta and Letran College are the kings and queens of the sands after dominating the men's and women's beach volleyball championship, respectively, yesterday in Season 98 National Collegiate Athletic Association at the Subic, Zambales.
The Altas, banked on Jefferson Marapoc's 22-point outing and took down Emilio Aguinaldo College, 21-10, 15-21, 15-13, to complete a 11-game sweep of the tournament.
This is Perpetual Help's fourth men's beach volleyball title as it is the second-best school in the sport behind College of Saint Benilde, which holds seven NCAA men's beach volleyball crowns.
The Altas also dethroned the Generals and denied them of a three-peat.
In women's play, Letran turned back Perpetual Help, 21-17, 21-12, for its third women's beach volleyball crown.
Chamberlane Cuñada scored 17 points as the Lady Knights denied the Lady Altas a double championship after their male counterparts won it all earlier.
