Vhong Navarro out of jail

After paying P1 million for his provisional release, actor and TV host Ferdinand "Vhong" Navarro is now a free man after being incarcerated for rape charges by model Deniece Cornejo for 79 days.

Navarro was released from the Taguig City Jail male dormitory and according to one of his lawyers, the actor cried after learning he was granted bail by the court.

The bail grant came after the court conducted bail hearing wherein Cornejo, businessman Cedric Lee and police officer Rolly Laureto testified. The last bail hearing was held on 10 November.

Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69 under Presiding Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan granted him bail and ordered his release on 6 Deccember.

Atty. Mariglen Abraham-Garduque, Navarro's collaborating counsel said that the actor's camp was really happy when they learned that the petition was granted because he can spend Christmas with his family.
