Pitmaster Foundation Philippines took home four recognitions at this year's Asia Awards, a testament to its strong nation-building culture and unyielding commitment to help the country address both coronavirus and climate crises as well as improve poverty alleviation.

The award-giving body awarded Pitmaster Foundation the "Asia's Non-Governmental Organizations Leadership Award" and was also cited as "Asia's Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices" and "Asia Award for Most Promising Service in NGO."

Pitmaster Foundation executive director Atty. Caroline Cruz also bagged the "Asia's Outstanding Executive Director Award" at this year's Asia Awards.

"We are truly humbled and honored by these awards. These are valuable recognitions of Pitmaster's efforts to be a force for good for the country, as we continue with our nation-building efforts amid and despite the pandemic," said Cruz.

Since 2020, Pitmaster Foundation has donated almost P1 billion in assistance for dialysis and Covid-19, including the donation of 31,000 doses of vaccine, 161 ambulances, 272,000 antigen test kits, salaries for frontliners and vaccine freezers.

To help address the alarming climate crisis, Pitmaster Foundation has also been supporting environmental rehabilitation efforts in Siniloan, Laguna and Real, Quezon. Pitmaster Foundation also recently sponsored the Philippines' National Climate and Disaster Emergency Policy Forum, which was aimed at exchanging ideas on how the public and private sector can jointly address climate issues through productive collaborations and policy proposals.

The Asia Awards, presented by RULA Awards, honors organizations and leaders in the region whose programs achieve excellence in terms of services to stakeholders and innovative solutions to pressing social and economic issues and challenges.

This year's Asia Awards will be held at Courtyard by Marriott in Madurai, India on 26 January 2023.

In November this year, Pitmaster Foundation won bronze for "Most Valuable Non-Profit Response" under the Covid-19 Response category during the 2022 Stevie Awards at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA, recognizing its efforts to help communities during the pandemic.
